NEW X-RAY UNIT ADDED IN 2009:
A new X-ray unit was added in Janpath
Samachar Charitable Laboratory which was established in association with
Siliguri Suryanagar Samaj Kalyan Sanstha, Suryanagar, Siliguri to provide
computerized pathology services. The new X-ray room alongwith immunization
centre for kids is aimed at providing low cost reliable service to weaker
sections of society.

Vidyasagar Sansthan was set up in
1980 to meet the educational requirements of poor and needy children of Pradhan
Nagar area. 280 students receive education in Hindi and Bengali in this school.
In 2001, MPC completed construction of a 5 room block and added facilities like
drinking water, toilet, playing area and electricity.

This primary school was completed
in 1982 and approved by the Government of West Bengal and provides education to
250 children. In June 2002, MPC completed construction of a 4 room block and
added facilities like drinking water, toilet, electricity and playing

MAHAPRAGYA COMPUTER CENTRE |

Acharya Mahapragya Computer
Centre was started in Deshbandhu Hindi High School, H.C. Road, Siliguri in 2004.
This government approved high school provides education in Hindi medium to more
than 1000 poor and needy students. The objective of the computer centre is to
prepare students for the future when computer knowledge will be an essential
skill required in the job market.

Coronation Bridge Committee |

Save Coronation Bridge committee
is a tourism initiative to promote local self employment in Sevoke area and
conserve the Coronation Bridge. Built in 1930, Coronation Bridge is a relic of
British excellence in design and architecture and spans the mighty Teesta. MPC
constructed many photo points and formed self help groups so that the bridge
could be developed as a tourist attraction and employment could be generated.

SABHAGHAR (Community Centre) |

Anuvrat Sabhaghar was constructed
in Prakash Nagar, behind Sevoke Road, Siliguri in co-operation with Nepali Samaj
Kalyan Samiti in 2004. This community hall located near a Shiv Mandir is used
for community meetings and prayers, dancing and music classes
