It is easier to deliver a baby in a government hospital in India but difficult for aware mothers and fathers to adopt permanent family planning measures like vasectomy and ligation.

The cost involved in conducting a vasectomy or ligation operation in a government or private hospital varies from Rs.1000-Rs.2500/- and it is the duty of every NGO who work for the poor to help families who have reached their optimum size in terms of sustainability and desire.
